For kids, Black History Month can be a wonderful opportunity to learn about the rich and diverse history of African Americans, as well as to promote understanding, tolerance, and respect for cultural diversity.
While Black History is officially observed during specific months, it's important to emphasize that the learning and celebration of African Americans should be an ongoing, everyday commitment.
