Legal stuff like Copyright and Trademarks can be tricky. Here is some information.
A copyright protects original, creative works of expression, such as music, books, and photographs. A copyright doesn't protect the name in the logo, the colors in the design, or short phrases. Logos can be copyrighted if the design is highly and uniquely creative. Because copyright can only be used for specific artistic logos, many logo owners seek a trademark, which protects business names, slogans, and other business identifiers. Both copyright and a trademark can cover a logo. Copyright vs. Trademark If your logo is something you would like to protect, Trademark would be the way to go. I do not create my own fonts, so the font in the logo is not my own, so it would be hard to copyright the logo. Trademark however might be something you could look into.
